Yoshihisa Akai

| Graduate of Tokyo University, Department of Education. Worked in Japan
Airline's corporate planning department and accountancy divisions in charge
of management and cost analysis. He has produced handbooks of management
and cost issues and conducted analysis of related industries. He launched
the airline's accountancy centre, which grew to become the core centre
for group companies' accountancy and payroll services, eventually becoming
chief executive of the accountancy centre before his retirement in June
2007. |
Haruo Ushiba
Director and Principal Analyst |
| Graduate of Keio University, Department of Business and Commerce. Worked
in JAL Group airline business planning and international passenger marketing.
After experience in Europe and the USA he served as a board member in JAL
Group airlines. He played an active role in new route development; yield
management system development, EU air liberalization research, and joint
enterprise projects, mainly in the international passenger field. . Six
years ago he established an organization for researching overseas travel
logistics and airline business activities. |
Kazuo Kino
Director and Principal Analyst

Graduated from the French Department of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
After experience in the cockpit crew and corporate planning divisions of
Japan Airlines, he played an active role in the public relations and the
investor relations departments. He has a deep knowledge of flight operations.
Among his contributions to the spread of airline industry knowledge are
his involvement in the compilation of an airline industry dictionary and
the creation of a seminar programme for university lecturers.

Haruhiko Kaneko
Principal Analyst

A graduate of Hitotsubashi University, Economics Department. He has worked
in many areas in Japan Airlines including air cargo, fuel procurement,
liaison with the national railway administration (now JR), DHL, and as
deputy head of China business and in a logistics company. He has visited
many little-known scenic areas in Asia and writes a travel column in a
Japanese magazine.

Kazunori Morisaki
Principal Analyst

A graduate of Keio University, Department of Business and Commerce. He
has a wide experience in the airline business, having worked in JAL passenger
reservations, passenger sales, product planning, public relations, overseas
flight crew training and international cabin attendant. Before his retirement
in June 2006 he was a board member of a JAL Group passenger handling company
serving the Okinawa region. He has a deep knowledge of flight operations
and was a contributing editor to the airline industry dictionary.

Kunio Hashimoto
Principal Analyst

Has a master's degree from the graduate school of Tokyo University, Department
of Engineering. Before retirement he was president of a JAL Group passenger
sales company, after working in information systems division, corporate
planning, passenger sales and marketing, package product planning, the
airline's FFP program planning and operation division and head of JAL in
Australia. He retired in June 2007, and is currently involved in an Australian
travel development non-profit organisation.

Geoffrey Tudor
Principal Analyst

Joined Japan Airlines in London in 1969 and was posted to the airline's
Tokyo head office in 1974, where he eventually was responsible for overseas
public relations. He retired in November 2004 but served as an advisor
until April 2007. He contribute to various airline industry publications
and is currently an associate director, crisis communications, of Kenyon
International, the worldwide disaster management company.
